In the UK, patients with endometriosis are typically referred to a gynaecology specialist who can prescribe a range of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), hormonal treatments and analgesic painkillers to alleviate symptoms, but unfortunately, these are not appropriate or successful for everyone.
